The "Tradition and Flavors of Modena" brand was created by the Modena Chamber of Commerce in 2003 with the aim of protecting the typical agro-food and gastronomic products of the region, beyond those already boasting community protections such as PDO or PGI. Over time, it has led to the gathering of 26 excellences in a varied basket, ranging from spontaneous products of the land and forest to cultivated ones, as well as artisanal and industrial productions, all characterized by typicality and deep roots in Modena's gastronomic culture.
All producers who commit to respecting strict production regulations and undergo a conformity verification system can join the collective brand, governed by a specific Regulation. This ensures that the consumer can trust that the product marked by this brand is truly traditional and typical of the territory. Therefore, the brand combines various elements: great respect for tradition and product typicality, and for this reason, particular attention to the intrinsic quality of the food, protected from intensive industrial processing that can distort flavors and from ingredients foreign to classic recipes. It also safeguards the healthiness of products for the benefit and protection of the consumer's health, which is more than ever a concern today.
